Scheduled Maintenance

The server will be rebooted in order to install to a new kernel. Total downtime is expected to be less than 30 minutes during the maintenance window:

Start: Wednesday, February 20, 2013 12:00AM EST
End: Wednesday, February 20, 2013 6:00AM EST

Please note that the server may be rebooted at any time during the window above.

This new kernel provides enhanced security updates and server performance upgrades, and it is necessary to continue operating the server at peak performance levels.

Scheduled Maintenance

The server experienced a service failure recently resulting in the need to perform a reboot.

As a result, there will be a scheduled maintenance to perform a manual file system check (FSCK) to ensure there is no data corruption on the hard drives. The maintenance is not anticipated to take more than a couple hours barring major problems being detected by the FSCK. The maintenance will be carried out during the following window:

Start: Thursday, April 19, 2012 12:00AM CDT
End: Thursday, April 19, 2012 2:00AM CDT

Scheduled MySQL Upgrade

The MySQL version on the server will soon be upgraded to the latest MySQL 5.1! This maintenance will be done during the following window:

Start: Friday, April 20, 2012  1:00am CDT
End: Friday, April 20, 2012  3:00am CDT

During the maintenance window, you may experience disruption of MySQL service. If you are using MySQL with your website (WordPress, Joomla, forums, etc.), you may notice brief periods of MySQL downtime while the upgrade process is completed.
